Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and CV Mobile
21st Century CURES Act mandates the states to implement an EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) system by January 1, 2021, for Medicaid-funded Personal Care Services (PCS) and by January 1, 2023, for Home Health Care Services (HHCS) that require an in-home visit by a provider.
States have chosen to implement different EVV models with many EVV providers and aggregators. This approach has created many challenges for Home Care Agencies, forcing them to use one Home Care Software for agency management and one or more software for EVV. Using multiple solutions leads to operational inefficiencies such as redundant data entry, errors, manual efforts to keep the information accurate, and rejected claims due to mismatch between claims and EVV records. Any decline in operational efficiency will directly impact the bottom line for home care agencies.
CareVoyant is an enterprise-level software platform integrating all aspects of home care agency management, including EVV, in one seamless workflow for home care agencies providing Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). CareVoyant CV Mobile streamlines delivering personal care services and collecting EVV information by simplifying clock in, clock out, and documenting services (tasks) provided to the patient. CV Mobile is integrated with authorization and scheduling to limit providing services without authorization.
CareVoyant's unified EVV Interface framework sends EVV data to any EVV Aggregator designated by the state. The unified interface eliminates manual efforts to send EVV data and reduces claim rejections leading to improved operational efficiency and bottom line.
